I have had the honor of teaching in a variety of places and schools.

Japan Teaching Exchange (JET) Program
Wakayama Prefecture, Japan
​2002-2003
While in Japan, I taught English to native Japanese students and adults. Specifically, I taught:
  • Junior High School (JHS) English in 2 local JHS. Grades 7-9. I co-taught with a Japanese teacher.
  • Elementary School English in 4 local elementary schools. Grades K-6. I lead classes with Japanese teacher support.
  • Adult conversation classes. I lead 2 adult conversation classes each week for adults interested in improving their English conversation skills. 
Perry Middle School

​2003-2013
While employed by Perry Public Schools, I taught middle school mathematics (and a variety of electives). During this time, i taught with the State of Michigan Standards and Benchmarks, Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE's) and the Common Core State Standards (CCS). Specifically, I taught:
  • 7th grade mathematics (10 years)
  • 8th grade mathematics (8 years)
  • 6th grade mathematics (2 years)
  • Electives - Teambuilding, Performing Arts, Mathematics Support (RtI) class,
